ARTICLE 5 - PAYMENT OF SALARIES

5.01

  1. All salaries are to be paid on a 12-month basis on the last day of each month September to August.  If the last day of the month falls on a Saturday or Sunday, payment will be made on the last day of the same week.

 

  1. A mid month advance will be made on the fifteenth (15th) of each month September to August.  If the fifteenth (15th) falls on a Saturday or Sunday, payment will be made on the last day of the same week.

5.02

Where a teacher leaves the employ of the Board during the course of a school year, all remaining salary will be paid to the teacher within the first 10 days of the month following termination of employment.

5.03 Direct Deposit of Salaries

  1. The Division shall only be required to deposit the salary funds to one account in one designated financial institution per teacher         

 

  1. Any administrative costs in future changes to a designated financial institution shall be borne by the member of the association who requests such a change.

 

  1. Individual members shall not have the right to request exemptions from having their salaries so deposited.
