This agreement shall come into force and take effect as of July 1, 2018 and shall remain in force from that date until June 30, 2022 and shall automatically renew itself unless either party gives the other a written notice by registered mail of a desire to terminate or amend the agreement, such notice to be given not more than ninety (90) days and not less than thirty (30) days prior to the expiry of the collective agreement. It is agreed that, in such case, the parties will confer not later than ten (10) days after receipt of such notice, or another date as may be mutually agreed to.
During negotiations for amendment or for a new agreement, the parties may agree to extend this agreement temporarily for a specific period, but not indefinitely.
Any settlement reached regarding the amendment of said agreement shall be effective as from the first day of July following the commencement of negotiations, unless some other effective date is agreed to by both parties.
