In any school year, as defined by the Minister, a teacher will be entitled to a paid leave of absence of one-half day for every twenty-five (25) hours of extra-curricular activities to a maximum equivalent of two (2) full days or four (4) half-days per school year. Furthermore:
- A teacher may perform the fifty (50) hours of eligible extra-curricular activities over the course of two (2) consecutive school years;
and
- the date(s) for such leave shall be agreed upon between the principal and the teacher. The maximum leave allowed to be carried over into the next school year shall be up to an equivalent of one (1) full day.
