The Division shall facilitate the deductions for a Group Retirement Saving Plan according to the requirements of the Plan as set out by the plan providers. An open enrollment period shall occur each school year during the month of November. The Border Land Teachers’ Association will notify the Border Land School Division as to a change in the plan providers prior to November 1 of each school year.
Save and except for the express responsibilities of facilitating deductions for the Group Retirement Savings Plan, the Association and employees participating in such plan acknowledge and agree that the Division neither has nor assumes any responsibility whatsoever with respect to any aspect of the plan or the performance of said plan.
The Association shall indemnify and save harmless the Division from any and all losses, costs, liabilities or expense suffered or sustained by the Division as a result of any claim or legal action arising from the deduction and remittance of monies or exercise of other responsibilities with respect to the Group Registered Retirement Savings Plan.
