MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN
THE RED RIVER VALLEY SCHOOL DIVISION
AND
THE RED RIVER VALLEY TEACHERS’ ASSOCIATION OF THE MANITOBA TEACHERS’ SOCIETY
Effective date of signing, all teachers employed at St.Malo, Heritage Immersion, and Suncrest Schools on a permanent contract and currently receiving the multi grade allowance as previously defined in Article 11 shall be grandfathered to continue receiving the multi grade allowance in the current Collective Agreement. The teachers shall receive the allowance only while assigned to one of the schools above.
Teachers hired after the date of signing will not be eligible to receive the allowance.

(ARTICLE 11: MULTIGRADE
Teachers in grades K to 8, who teach two (2) grades or more during the same time and in the same room at St.Malo, Heritage Immersion, and Suncrest Schools shall be paid an allowance as follows:)
Effective first day of Fall term 2018
75% to 100% FTE $961.46
50% to 74% FTE $639.96
25% to 49% FTE $319.97
Effective first day of Fall term 2019
75% to 100% FTE $974.92
50% to 74% FTE $648.92
25% to 49% FTE $324.45
Effective first day of Fall term 2020
75% to 100% FTE $979.79
50% to 74% FTE $652.16
25% to 49% FTE $326.07
Effective first day of Fall term 2021: Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) to be determined as follows: in January 2022, or as possible thereafter, when the 12 month (January to December 2021) average annual Statistics Canada consumer price index change is made known, the increase will be applied retroactively to July 1, 2021.
The above percentages refer to portions of a regular full-time teacher’s workload.
