ARTICLE 9 - PART-TIME TEACHERS

1. The basic salary of each teacher employed on a part-time basis shall be pro rata of the applicable annual schedule rate and shall be governed by the same provisions as the salary of any other teacher covered by the agreement.

2. Working conditions and benefits of teachers employed on a part-time basis shall be pro-rated.

3. Part-time teachers shall participate in school activities that occur during the regular school day when required by the Division.  When the Division makes such requirement the part-time teacher shall receive a pro-rata share of their salary rate for the time spent participating in the activities during the regular school day, which is over and above the teacher’s regular scheduled teaching time.
