Teachers absent from duty (other than for reasons which entitle them to receive their regular salary without deductions) shall have deducted from their salary a one, two hundred and fortieth (1/240) of their salary for each day's absence.
The Board recognizes that situations may arise in which leave of absence may be required. In such a case, the Board will consider the request of the teacher on application of the teacher in writing.
A teacher may be granted leave of absence by agreement with the Division Board. This leave of absence shall be without pay and there shall be no guarantee of the former teaching position when the teacher returns.
