Leave shall be granted for death or serious illness of a member of the employee's immediate family, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparents or grandchildren of the employee or of the employee's spouse, to a maximum of five (5) working days without salary deduction. The Division may request a medical certificate to verify serious illness.
Additional working days compassionate leave may be granted but will be charged at substitute rates.
