ARTICLE 35 - FAMILY MEDICAL LEAVE

In the event that medical services or home care are necessary for children and/or spouse of teachers but not covered under 34.01(a), a teacher may be allowed up to three (3) days special medical leave.  These days will be deducted from their cumulative sick leave and salary may be reduced by the cost of the substitute.

Effective first day of Fall term 2015:

In the event that medical services or home care are necessary for children and/or spouse of teachers but not covered under 34.01(a), a teacher may be allowed up to four (4) days special medical leave.  These days will be deducted from their cumulative sick leave and salary may be reduced by the cost of the substitute.

Effective first day of Fall term 2017:

In the event that medical services or home care are necessary for children and/or spouse of teachers but not covered under 34.01(a), a teacher may be allowed up to five (5) days special medical leave.  These days will be deducted from their cumulative sick leave and salary may be reduced by the cost of the substitute.
